Sliding walls to rotating doors
When trying to incorporate the sliding partitions into my design I was not happy with the effect it brought with it. Therefore I want to bring in multiple sliding doors screens that will be more sturdy and easier to handle to be in placed that can not only slide, but rotate. This means when multiple amounts are put together it will have the same effect as a sliding partition.

Sliding Walls
The best way to make the space changeable is to put in sliding walls into the building, that means these walls can just slide back or forth to make or open up a space.

Adapting the interior
After reviewing feedback, I have adapted the interior so it mirrors the pattern on the roof of the building. This is a simple image of the models made in class and an adaption of it on cad.
Building walk through
Looking at the amount of public walk ways around the Howard smith wharf, it seems obvious that there will be a walk way adapted near. I would like to adapt a walk way through the building this increases public awareness of the buildings function.

Structure
Thought has been given to the structure of the building, I have decided to show this through use of a photo montage with the structure overlayed the building so that each element can be connected to a job.

Tabula Rasa mixed with Concept
Tabula Rasa
the function of my building will be focusing on the theme of Tabula Rasa, as expressed in a previous post this represents the mind before experiences, I wanted to create a building the focused on other peoples experiences. So often we learn about objects, times, events, people but we don't experience them. therefore I want my building to about experiencing not learning. Although this is not Tabula Rasa which is the mind before experiences, I have adapted the theme to a functioning level which is not wiping experiences but obtaining others experiences.
Concept
The concept of the foli started with nature and combining organic shapes with the structure of the bridge. I felt that this concept was too weak and therefore developed it again with how nature on the site is different, with that in mind I found the over grown bunkers covered in vegetation giving them camouflage. I took this idea and when combined with the theme of tabula rasa it was easy to involve the story bridge back into the design with concept of creating a new experience of the story bridge that others wouldn't have (under neath it).

Zones
These are the different zones or spaces within my building, they all relate to the theme of Tabula Rasa
Blue represents the main space of the building, this will hold an interactive digital screens where the users can select to listen to stories and experiences.
Yellow represents the second level this will be a space designed to encourage group discussion to share ideas and experiences.
Red is the rooms on the first floor that will be designed as mini lecture theatres that will hold guest speakers
Green is the lawn that will be designed so the users can sit like a stadium and work in as a replacement for desks and chairs.

Ribbed Lawn
Updating from my last post this is the updated image of the lawn which has been ribbed so that it can be used as a seat taking away from the regular idea of learning in doors on chairs at desks ect. The view that the lawn will frame is also very interesting as it faces the city and definitely combines the nature elements looking at structural intensity of the buildings giving it a new perspective relating back to Tabula Rassa
